The Airdrie Football
Society (AFS) was formed to promote an active interest
and participation in minor football. In support of that goal, the AFS Flag
Football League was established in 2016 and provides a fun and inexpensive
non-contact football experience for Airdrie youth. AFS, and our flag football league, is run entirely by volunteers.
Football community is key
A deep love for the sport of football and a dedication to
our community is at the foundation of everything we do. Our flagship flag
football league was born of that goal and is our top priority, where we share
our love of football and gather with our community. We continue to give back to
the sport and look for ways to promote and support football programs in
Airdrie!
Opportunity for youth
The AFS Flag Football League was formed to share our love of
sport and provide an affordable recreational opportunity for youth in Grades 1
to 8. Our non-contact football league promotes skill development, cardio training
and mental strategy. Whether it’s a first experience or in preparation for
another minor football program, we welcome all skill levels and aim to show you
the fun, recreational side of football.
Sharing the love for football and active living
AFS is all about people. Our love of football encourages an
active lifestyle and a sport-for-life attitude. Flag football is a great way to
get fit, make new friends and have fun. We are proud to offer a flag football
program that encourages a passion for sport and active living.
Who is the AFS?
It's a team effort! We are all volunteers who love the game and enjoy giving our time to provide a great experience for our youth. Contact us below if you are interested in helping out.
